You must posses a U.S. Driver's license and have held a valid 1st, 2nd, or 3rd class medical (restricted or unrestricted) after July 14, 2006. In addition, your most recent medical cannot be suspended, withdrawn, or revoked for any reason.
You must comply with the BasicMed requirements listed above, have a physical examination provided by a state-licensed physician using the Comprehensive Medical Examination Checklist, and complete a BasicMed medical education course.
Under BasicMed, once you meet the requirements you can begin flying immediately.
Any aircraft that is authorized under federal law to carry 6 or less occupants and has a maximum certificated take off weight of less than 6,000lbs.
Under BasicMed, the aircraft must carry 5 passengers or less, operate at or below 18,000 feet MSL (not exceeding 250 knots), and must not be hired or compensated for the flight. Additionally, the flight cannot be outside of the U.S. unless authorized by the country in which the flight is conducted.
Unfortunately, due to the requirements of the FAA measurements must be taken in person by Dr. Alex, chiropractic physician, in the state of his licensure. His office is conveniently located in Lakeland, Florida and is easily travelled to via major airports in Orlando or Tampa.
